Memorandum of Understanding signed between IFAT and the Turkish ATA Platform

On the 1st of February 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Ankara between the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Turkish think tank ATA Platform. The IFAT Team (consisting of director Márton Ugrósdy, deputy director of strategy Tamás Péter Baranyi, and Middle East and North Africa research program coordinator Máté Szalai) visited the Turkish capital to sign the MoU and to participate in a day-long consultation on Turkish-Hungarian relations and the situation of migration and refugees.

The current event was the second joint seminar organised by the two organizations. In December 2021, the team of ATA Platform participated in a conference hosted by the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade in Budapest focusing on Turkish-Hungarian economic and trade relations. The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation and to conduct joint publications.
