Dr. László Vasa’s lecture in Beijing and visit to Shanghai
Dr. László Vasa, chief advisor and senior researcher of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade attended different events in Beijing and Shanghai on the margins of the book launch of the volume published for the 70th anniversary of the China-Hungary diplomatic relations.
Dr. Vasa delivered an open lecture on China’s impact on the Central and Eastern European region on 17th of December at the China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), the higher education institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. The lecture was a good occasion to meet researchers dealing with Hungary in Beijing and from other fields. After the book launch of the book edited for the 70th anniversary of the China-Hungary diplomatic relations at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing on 18th of December, another event was took place in Shanghai on 20th of December.
The „International Symposium on the Prospects and Outlook of the Cooperation between Shanghai and CEE” was organized by the Shanghai Academy, founded few years ago by CASS. Not only senior researchers and leaders from Central and Eastern European contributed to the event but well known researchers of the field from other leading Chinese universities and instutes. As a result of Dr. Vasa’s lecture and programs, the connections of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade were extended, strengthening the Institute’s importance in the region.
