Dr. Botond FELEDY
Botond Feledy is a geopolitical expert and foreign policy commentator, podcast anchor and author of the weekly HetiFeledy newsletter on world politics in Hungarian. His research and work has focused on Euro-Atlantic security issues, information operations and cyber security among others. He was earlier director of the European Leadership Programme in Brussels and former CEO of Red Snow Consulting. Botond offered classes at ELTE AJK and PPKE BTK on international relations and related topics, he also taught one semester at Sciences Po Dijon. Until 2017 he served as President of the Saint Ignatius College in Budapest, was member of the National Board of College for Advanced Studies and MATEHETSZ. In 2007 he co-founded Kitekinto.hu, the first foreign policy news portal of Hungary, later he headed the foreign affairs section of the Hungarian Press Agency in 2011-12. He was elected as a member of the #NewEurope100 in 2017, a joint initiative of Google, the Financial Times, the Visegrad Fund and the Polish Res Publica Foundation where they choose the hundred most transformative persons of the Central European region each year. He is a co-founder of the EU Negotiation Moot simulation game, alumnus of the International Visiting Leadership Program of the US State Department, and a former Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund. He studied at SciencesPo Bordeaux, Université Paris II, Freie Universität Berlin, and ELTE Budapest.
