Book launch: Péter Marton – Covid-19: The Infection of Unhealthy Policies

On June 22, 2021, the Institute for Foregin Affairs and Trade (IFAT) in cooperation with the Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) held a joint book launch for the newest release of Mr. Péter Marton entitled Covid-19 – The Infection of Unhealthy Policies”. Speakers at the roundtable included the author, Péter Marton, professor at CUB; Márton Ugrósdy, Director of the Institute for Foregin Affairs and Trade, and Tamás Péter Baranyi, Deputy Director of the Institute for Foregin Affairs and Trade. The conversation was led by Dániel Vékony, adjunct professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest.

Following the description of the book’s architecture, some key points of the book were discussed, like how the world was surprised by the pandemic; how the international community was not able to give an adequate response, and how we can deal with the virus on global and national levels. At the end of the roundtable, the delta variant and the possible endgames of Covid-19 was also discussed.
