On March 21, 2024, the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA) hosted Stephen R. Nagy, Professor at the International Christian Unversity in Tokyo, who presented Japan’s geopolitical strategy. He highlighted China’s growing power as a challenge to Japan’s autonomy and outlined Japan’s goal of a multipolar Indo-Pacific region.
Nagy discussed the lessons of the war in Ukraine and its potential implications for Taiwan, emphasizing Japan’s commitment to supporting developing countries.
