Márton Ugrósdy, director of IFAT took part at an online conference organized by the University of Toronto, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Trianon Peace Treaty. Mr. Ugrósdy talked about how the Treaty influences Hungarian foreign policy until today, as the protection of Hungarian minorities living abroad has been one of the cornerstones of Hungarian foreign policy since 1990. Mr. Ugrósdy highlighted how the Hungarian government has been trying to rebuild the flourishing economic cooperation in the Carpathian Basin, which was severed by the arbitrary designation of the post-1920 borders.
