The Nobel Peace Prize of 2009 has been awarded to Barack Obama, the forty-fourth president of the United States of America. By their choice, the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize Committee decided to honor President Obama’s efforts “to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
