Public lecture by Dr. Sándor Gyula Nagy at the Brazilian institute for foreign affairs

Based on a cooperation agreement between the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) and the Brazilian institute for foreign affairs: Alexandre de Gusmao Foundation (FUNAG), on 26 March, a roundtable discussion and lecture was held in Brasilia City with the participation of Dr. Sándor Gyula Nagy, senior research fellow of the IFAT.

Based on a cooperation agreement between the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) and the Brazilian institute for foreign affairs: Alexandre de Gusmao Foundation (FUNAG), on 26 March, a roundtable discussion and lecture was held in Brasilia City with the participation of Dr. Sándor Gyula Nagy, senior research fellow of the IFAT.

The theme of lecture at the FUNAG was the role of the V4 countries within the EU and their relevance in the European foreign relations of Brazil. In the introductory lecture, Ambassador Norbert Konkoly recalled the importance of the current topic of the Hungarian V4 Presidency and the dynamic development of the Hungarian-Brazilian bilateral relations in recent years. The lecture was attended by Sérgio Moreira Lima, President of FUNAG, Paulo R. de Almeida, Director of International Relations Research Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IPRI), Joao C. Storti, Head of the Central and Eastern European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several foreign affairs officers, representatives of the embassies of European countries and Mr. Gyula Misi, from the Embassy of Hungary.

Dr. Sándor Gyula Nagy agreed with the President of the FUNAG to jointly prepare and publish an English-language publication about Brazil and V4 with the involvement of other institutes of foreign research in the V4 country. The coordination of the preparation of the publication well be done by the Hungarian researcher.
