Our senior research fellow, Peter Stepper PhD had the privilege to participate at Warsaw Security Forum 2021, which has been organized by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation on the 5-6 October 2021.

During the two day long conference, dozens of discussions has been delivered by high-ranking politicians, military officers, NGO leaders and university professors. One of the panels on the first day was a perfect occassion to launch a report revolving around V4 defence matters. Panelists including Baiba Braže, NATO Assistant Secretary General, Paweł Soloch Head of Polish National Security Bureau and Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs argued about the potential challenges and opportunities creating the next NATO Strategic Concept in the upcoming years. Hopefully, this report, which we presented for them, will be taken into consideration during the next phase of negotiations. The report titled as ’The V4 towards a new NATO Strategic Concept and the EU Strategic Compass’ was written by sixteen senior defence experts including our colleague Peter Stepper from IFAT, Ret. Gen. Zoltán Szenes, from NUPS and Balázs Mártonffy from American Studies Resarch Centre and Amb. Zoltán Nagy, from the HU NATO Permanent Representation.
