Old-new director at the head of IFAT

From July 1, 2022, Márton Schőberl will lead once again the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The old-new leader of the IFAT completed his university studies at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, where he graduated in 2007 with a degree in communication and history. Following that, he worked in the world of business information systems and from 2010 in the central administration in various positions in the field of higher education and financial policy.

He led the IFAT between 2014 and 2018, then served as a Deputy State Secretary responsible for cultural diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the fourth Orbán government. Since 2015, he has been the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary.

Márton Ugrósdy, who led IFAT between 2018-2022, has left the Institute on June 30 and has joined the Government as a deputy state secretary from July 1.
