Máté Kováts received his bachelor’s degree in history with a specialization in international relations from the University of Pécs, followed by a master’s degree in global and European politics from the Catholic University of Lille in France. In the spring of 2025, he participated in the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs’ three-month-long Future Leader Program, and joined the Institute as a researcher later that year.
