László Csicsmann, university professor, has been the head of the Corvinus Center for Contemporary Asia Studies at Budapest Corvinus University since November 2023. Previously, between 2022 and 2023, he served as an associate professor at Széchenyi István University and as the dean of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics. From 2002 to 2022, he worked at Budapest Corvinus University, holding various positions such as vice-rector, dean, and institute director. His research focuses on the political, economic, and social processes in the Middle East, North Africa, and the South Asian region. In his studies, he explores issues such as sanction policies, energy matters, and regional aspects of the transforming world order.
