Foreign Policy Review: Call for Papers – The Post-Covid Asian Order
The Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade has been running Foreign Policy Review, its annual English publication for several years now. This year, FPR’s issue will concentrate on Post-Covid Asian Order. We are seeking submissions on the following topics:
- The consequences of the US-China rivalry in Post-Covid Asia
- Asianness during and after the COVID pandemic
- ASEAN in Post-Covid Asia
- The US’s role in Asia and its limitations
- The role of regional middle powers
- Small States Perspective on Post-Covid Asia
- China as a domestic political issue in Asia
- The balancing strategy and its limits
- The Indo-Pacific concept in Post-Covid Asia
- India’s role in Post-Covid Asian Order
- Old and new conflicts in Post-Covid Asian Order
- China-centric economic order in Asia
- The role of culture, religion and ideology in Post-Covid Asia
We are announcing this call for papers in order to provide an opportunity for young and accomplished researchers, both in Hungary and abroad to share their views on the possible development paths of Asia. We are looking for original, previously unpublished academic papers, with a maximum length of 50.000 characters to be published in this year’s FPR issue.
Timeline
- July 10, 2021: those interested in contributing to the issue, should send their maximum 500 words abstract to the address info@ifat.hu
- July 15, 2021: decision on the preliminary acceptance of the abstracts
- September 15, 2021: deadline for the submission of full papers
- September 30, 2021: decision of the double-blind peer review process
- October 15, 2021: revised papers are due
- December 15, 2021: publication 2021 FPR issue
All manuscripts must be referenced according to the APA format. Submissions without proper references will be automatically rejected. All submissions will go through a double-blind peer review process, and we provide feedback for every author. Copyediting and proofreading will be provided by IFAT as the editor of the volume.
IFAT reserves the right to reject the publication of any paper without prior notice. IFAT does not keep and return manuscripts, but we try to ensure that even the papers which do not get published in the printed volume, have an opportunity to appear on IFAT’s other series, especially in the IFAT Analysis format.
