On 20 January 2023, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT), along with the Otto von Habsburg Foundation had the pleasure to host H.E. Christian Schmidt, High Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a closed discussion.
Márton Schőberl, Director of IFAT stressed that the visit of the High Representative could be perceived as a continuation of his engagement with Hungarian experts after last year’s Budapest Balkans Forum. Moderated by Ferenc Németh, IFAT Research Fellow, the High Representative addressed the current challenges of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis on the aftermath of previous elections, prospects of Euro-Atlantic integration as well as the role of Hungary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
