Márton Ugrósdy, IFAT’s deputy director for strategy participated on the joint event of PISM and GMF under the title „Bucharest Nine before the NATO Summit”. Speaking on the panel looking at burden sharing within NATO, Mr. Ugrósdy emphasized that all B9 members, including Hungary are working towards raising defense spending to the 2 percent level as required by the Wales commitments, while the most important question is what to buy, since nature of warfare is changing rapidly. He also underscored that we can cooperate better even if we do not spend more, as the harmonization of legislation regulating troop movements in peacetime could offer immediate and tangible benefits for the rapid and resilient deployment of NATO troops on the Eastern Flank
