Balázs Győrffy emphasized the aim of the conference to introduce and present water management and modern production systems. The Hungarian government considers irrigation development to be of paramount importance, which is one of the priorities of the rural development program in the 2022-2027 planning period. In order for Hungary to remain competitive at the agricultural level, it is essential to develop and modernize the irrigation systems of arable land. The Israeli agricultural model can serve as an example to the Hungarian government.
The conference was also attended by representatives of Israeli and Hungarian agricultural companies, who reported on their areas of activity and goals with which they intend to develop the agricultural sector in the future.
