The Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) held a high-level roundtable discussion to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and Croatia.

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó highlighted the close relationship between the two countries, which is not only based on our common history, but also on our views on the future of the European Union, our special responsibility for the European integration of the Western Balkans, as well as our common economic interests. Minister Grlić Radman underlined that Zagreb considers Budapest as one of its closest friends and allies, and appreciates that Hungary stood by Croatia from the very first days of regaining its independence in 1991.
