The Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (IFAT’s) director, Márton Ugrósdy participated at Brain Bar, the leading festival on the future. As he spoke about the Visegrád Four, he underlined that despite the ’troublemaker’ image of the V4, the Central European Member States feel a special responsibility for the future of Europe, and therefore they are putting forward their own ideas how to make the EU better, even if this does not coincides with the opinion of the European mainstream. Dr. Ugrósdy emphasized that the V4 is recovering much quicker from the pandemic-induced economic crisis than the Western Member States, allowing them to be more important players in the European economy.
